Hever Castle HD - HF100 from Mr Roberts on Vimeo.
Today we walk in the footsteps of one of the most famous Tudor Queens, as we visit Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Stroll in the gardens where she was courted by Henry VIII and see many of her momentos that have been preserved there for centuries, such as the Book of Hours, which she was said to be holding as she went to her death on the scaffold in 1536 followed by lunch in an historic public house. After lunch, we will visit Canterbury with its magnificent Cathedral. This pleasant market town became the seat of the Primate, the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Return to London and this evening is on your own to have a nice dinner. It’s a great time to have dinner and after dinner maybe check out a show or do some shopping.
Day 5 – Tuesday, June 1, 2010
We will embark on a full day tour of the historic royal Tudor palace, Hampton Court, the centuries old Windsor Castle, and the surrounding town of Eton. See the magnificent gardens where Henry VIII walked all those centuries ago, and then experience Windsor Castle, the largest occupied castle in the world - perhaps the standard of the Queen will be flying atop the building, alerting us that Her Majesty is in residence! Then, it’s on to the adjacent quaint town of Eton where you can grab some lunch and you’ll find some photo great opportunities.
When we retrun to London you will be on you own dinner and why not check out one of London’s great night clubs or perhaps, you might like to take advantage of some of the amenities at our hotel like the SPA!

While there, our group will enjoy a Medieval luncheon and a private lecture given by none other than the famous Tudor author, Alison Weir, after which she will autograph a copy of her latest book, which is our gift to you! It will be a once-in-a-lifetime event, never to be forgotten!
This evening is on your own to eat, drink, and be merry at one of the “movie set” pubs that England is famous for or try having a grand dinner at one of the very special dining venues that London has to offer.
